ABC Countdown - S is for S'mores Day! Eat a s'mores snack in class!

At the beginning of the school year, the 4th grade class set a goal of 1,000 AR Points. We were hopeful, excited, and ready to work hard! What I never imagined was that this incredible group of 4th graders wouldn’t only meet that goal, but exceed it by Christmas break.
Today, these 4th graders officially reached 3,022 AR points for the year by the deadline Friday!
This accomplishment represents more than numbers. It represents dedication, determination, and a love for reading that grew this entire year. They spent their free time reading, asking parents to stay up “just one more chapter,” encouraged one another constantly, and celebrated each other along the way.
I have watched them cheer each other on, recommend books to each other, and push themselves to become better readers. I could not be more proud of them.
This is a milestone these students, nor their teacher, will ever forget, and we are hopeful that this amazing group may have set a school record that will be hard to beat in years to come! 💜🐝💛

The Allendale School 4th grade students spent the day at the Mt. Carmel City Park where they participated in Ag Safety Day.
