School Christmas Program
📚🎉 So proud of my students! 🎉📚
My class set a big end-of-the-year goal (by end of the year, I meant MAY) to reach 1,000 AR points, and today they absolutely crushed it—finishing the SEMESTER with 1,018 points! Their hard work, dedication, and love for reading truly paid off. When we return from Christmas break, they’ve earned a pizza and ice cream party to celebrate this amazing accomplishment!
ALSO, a huge thank you to Johnny Singh at CJ’s in Allendale for generously donating 21 pizza boxes for our pizza box biography projects. The students presented their reports today, and we were lucky to have some very special visitors stop by our classroom—including Neil Armstrong, Johnny Appleseed, Michael Jordan, and Squanto! 🧑‍🚀🍎🏀
Everyone enjoyed CJ’s pizza while we relaxed this afternoon after a round of presentations. What a wonderful way to celebrate learning, creativity, and teamwork. So proud of these kids!

Our 4th graders have been busy learning all about renewable and non-renewable resources in science! Today, they transformed into coal miners and had the important job of removing coal from the land. Before digging in, students observed the “land” (a cookie!) and then carefully mined out the “coal” (chocolate chips).

They loved seeing firsthand how mining can change the land—and of course they enjoyed their tasty treat afterward, too.

Hands-on learning at its sweetest!

Today Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Deisher’s classes tackled a Thanksgiving STEM challenge — designing a trap for the turkey! Using teamwork, creativity, and lots of laughter, students built clever traps and tested their ideas. We loved seeing their problem-solving skills shine!
