12 Days of Christmas: Favorite Holiday Accessories! (Day 11)
Members of the student council packaged up “goodie bags” that will be going out to people in our community this morning. These bags are filled with all kinds of snacks, fruit, candy, and homemade cards! A big thank you to the Allendale Ruritan Club, Circle-A Servolution, the Allendale Christian Church, and Allendale Student Council for making these Christmas gifts happen!

12 Days of Christmas: Cozy Flannel! (Day 10)
On Friday, December 20th, Allendale School will have its annual Christmas Program. The program will begin at 12:15 pm in the gym, and students will be dismissed from their classroom at the conclusion of the program (typically around 1:00-1:15 pm), and buses will run shortly thereafter. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Students will return to school on Monday, January 6th.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) sponsors a nationwide patriotic written essay competition each year for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students (The Patriot's Pen). This year, Mrs. Perry's 7th grade class at Allendale School participated in this essay with the theme: "My Voice in America's Democracy". Today, two students from this class were awarded certificates and monetary rewards for their essays by VFW representative Michael Risley. Jaylyn McCleave received first place, and Abe Medler received third place through our local district. Jaylyn's essay will now move on to the district level competition. Congratulations!
