The Lady Rockets begin their season with practices starting tomorrow, October 1st from 3:30-5:00 PM in the St. Mary's Gym. Any 5th-8th grade girl who is playing needs to be there and anyone else who is interested in playing is encouraged to attend. There will also be a parent meeting following practice at 5:00 PM. TeacherEase, our online parent portal software, has an app designed for communicating with parents. Once installed, you can receive notifications about student progress, attendance, and behavior. You can view grades and email teachers as well. We think the app will increase transparency and improve student performance. The Elementary Students will be bringing home their Fall Fundraiser today! Help support these students as well as sport some new Yellow Jacket merch. All forms and payments need to be turned in by Friday, October 4.

The Jr. High held their Calendar Fundraiser drawing today. Everyone that contributed to the fundraiser was entered into a drawing (one chance per every dollar donated). Calling all 5th-8th grade girls at Allendale & St. Mary’s who are interested in playing basketball this season for the Lady Rockets! The Lady Rockets open gyms will start this Wednesday, September 4th from 3:30-5:00 PM at St. Mary’s. This is a great opportunity to come see what the sport & team is all about and to work on some fundamentals before the season starts in October. Any Allendale girls who are interested in playing will ride the bus to St Mary’s, leaving at 2:30 PM. Coach Jennifer will be at St. Mary’s for them to work on schoolwork until practice starts. Just a reminder that Friday, August 30 will be a School Improvement Day and students will be dismissed at 12:15. Only the regular bus route will run. There will be no special kindergarten route. There will also be no Pre-K on Friday.

Preschool Screenings (ages 3-5) will be available by appointment only at Allendale School on September 11. We will also be doing Birth to age 3 screenings that day as well. Call the Office at 618-299-3161, x 2 to schedule an appointment.
Dental Safari will be coming to Allendale School on September 4. They will be offering FREE dental exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants for any and all students! Register online or complete the form going home with students. For those students needing the state required dental exams (Kindergarten, 2nd, 6th grades and any student entering an Illinois school for the first time), now is your opportunity to sign- up and get those state forms completed for free!
